Twenty-two student representatives from PAREF Southridge School, PAREF Northfield School for Boys, PAREF Westbridge School, Inc., PAREF Springdale School, Inc., and Rosevale School (Cagayan de Oro) united in Manila for the inaugural PAREF Future Leaders Summit from July 12-17, 2022.

Hosted by Catalyst for Professional Development Services and the Southridge Student Council, the summit aims to provide intensive training to PAREF boys who have the potential to be future shapers and shakers of society through experiential learning and roundtable discussions with local public servants.

The Springdale was represented by John Matthew Fernandez (G10), Enzo Grand Benedicto (G11), and Charles Daniel Cho (G11) at the summit.

The boys met and had roundtable discussions on their experiences in public service with Muntinlupa City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, Muntinlupa City Councilors Lester Baes, Jedi Presnedi, Ken Takagi, Jr., Manila City Mayor Honey Lacuna, Manila City Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Cervo” Nieto, Manila City Councilor DJ Bagatsing, and DENR Undersecretary Mitch Cuna, Laguna Provincial Board Member Tutti Caringal, Councilor Junjun Batallones, and former Department of Transportation Secretary Art Tugade.

They also had several outreach activities and social immersion sessions to experience basic problem identification in the selected communities hoping to inspire them to become genuine public servants in the near future.
