Rev. Fr. Julio Dieguez visited PAREF Springdale School earlier today to bless the Holy Family Wall Shrine in the School Quadrangle.
The blessing of the Shrine was witnessed and participated by the Management Committee, the members of the School Board, students, faculty, staff, parents, donors and guests.
After the blessing, students sang and waved their hands to the Bato-balani sa Gugma while venerating the Holy Family with roses.
The Wall Shrine is uniquely Springdale as it vividly reflects Springdale’s school culture and PAREF educational philosophy through a local artistic rendition by renowned Cebuano artist Celso Pepito.
The blessing was one of the major events organized in line with the vicar’s visit to Cebu.
Fr. Dieguez was recently appointed as the Regional Vicar of Opus Dei for the Philippines and Indonesia by Msgr. Fernando Ocariz, the Prelate of Opus Dei.
