PAREF Springdale School shall host an intimate get-together with Msgr. Fernando Ocariz, the Prelate of Opus Dei, for the members of the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross on August 3, 2023.
The Priestly Society of the Holy Cross is an association of clergy closely affiliated with the Prelature of Opus Dei. It aims to promote holiness among secular priests by serving the Church and following the spiritual practices of Opus Dei.
The spiritual help provided by the Priestly Society focuses on improving the inner spiritual life of its members, encouraging them to be faithful in fulfilling their priestly responsibilities, and promoting unity among members and their respective bishops.
Msgr. Ocariz shall engage attendees in light conversation on various topics on their mission as pastors and their pastoral accompaniment with the faithful in the respective assignments.
The Father, as he is fondly called by the members of Opus Dei, shall arrive in Cebu on August 3, 2023. Several activities shall be organized in line with his visit to Cebu, such as his visit to the technical schools for young women and men, Banilad School for Professional Development (in Banilad) and the Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (in Talamban), several get-togethers for the members, cooperators and friends of Opus Dei.
A General Audience with The Father will be organized for the friends and family of Opus Dei at the Oakridge Pavillon in Banilad starting at 5:00 PM on August 4, 2023. Those interested to join the event are asked to visit the Sugbu Study Center, Lahug Cultural Center, and Banilad Study Center to claim their tickets for free.
He is scheduled to leave for Indonesia on August 5, 2023, then proceed to Sydney and New Zealand.
