Two Grade 6 students of PAREF Springdale School grabbed the top spots in the Global Art National Competition held at SMX Convention Center Aura last September 16, 2023.
Lex Lyndon Go and Jared Iden Go garnered First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up respectively in the Global Art National Competition. They competed in Category C, the bracket for participants aged 10 to 12 years old.
The boys bested 110 incredibly talented participants from Global Art Davao, Global Art Cebu, and Global Art Metro Manila (including students from Makati, Binondo, San Juan, Pasig, Quezon City, and Alabang).
Anchored on this year’s competition theme, “My Home,” Lex and Jared showcased their artistic ability by creatively interpreting the theme using their chosen art media.
Jared used graphite in portraying the things he loves most at home. For him, his home represents everything that brings him priceless joy and excitement in life .
For Lex, the home is where he finds love. He depicted the things that make him feel “at home” with oil pastel.
Lex and Jared will go on to showcase their artistic ability in the Global Art International Competition, which will take place in San Jose, California on December 3, 2023.
